Do you want to know about International Dot Day? Last week, we interviewed our librarian Mrs. Colte to ask questions about Dot Day!
The book called The Dot was written by Peter H. Reynolds which became an international celebration. "Because it's a short story that everyone can understand but the message is strong" said Mrs.Colte.
Dot Day is a day to celebrate creativity, art, and inspiration. Mrs. Colte will be having a Dot Day Celebration here at Hale Kula Elementary School. It is called Dot Day Monster Mashup.

You may ask, "What is the point of dot day?" Well, dot day is important because it allows kids to let their creativity shine! Maybe if other kids see their work, it will inspire others to try and never give up.
This is what you will be creating at the Dot Day Monster Mashup. The materiels you will be using have been donated from parents and staff. So let give a thanks to those who have helped and help bring Dot Day Monster Mashup come to a reality. "I love seeing projects inspired from the book Dot Day," said Mrs.Colte.
